The proposed committee structure aims to be inclusive and effective, with an aim to foster collaboration. The committees seek to welcome all interested parties, including the people who will implement the vision, and to make logical connections with existing entities and partners.
Envision Utah and Salt Lake County recognize the value of committee members' time, and will strive for an efficient meeting process.
Conveners
Conveners guide the policy direction of the collaboration. They are leaders of stature and expertise, intended to bring prominence to the collaboration and represent a cross-section of key interests in the Jordan River. Most of the Conveners will be Mayors. This group will meet at key milestones of the process to provide high-level guidance as the effort progresses. The Cabinet is envisioned as being composed of key local government staff members as well as a variety of other stakeholders that focus on the Jordan River Corridor. The Cabinet will likely meet four times.
